35 Best 3D Fonts To Make Your Designs Leap Off The Page (2025)

3D fonts are a great way to add some visual depth to your work and bring your graphic designs to life. But with so many different 3-dimensional fonts out there to choose from, it can be hard to choose just one.

To help you with that, we’ve rounded up a list of the very best 3D fonts available in 2023, including both ‘true’ 3D SVG fonts and 3D-effect layered TTF/OTF fonts.

All these fonts are professionally designed and look like they’re leaping off the page. Let’s get started!

Top 35 best 3D Fonts

Here are our top 35 favorite hand-picked 3D fonts. Feel free to browse the list and, if you see something you like, click the font name to head to the download page.

1. Steampunk

Steampunk 3D font

Let’s kick things off with this incredible retrofuturistic Color/SVG font, Steampunk. If you didn’t already know, Steampunk is a subgenre that fuses industrial machinery with futuristic tech. It creates a distinct aesthetic that would work well in many different kinds of design projects.

It’s one of the newer SVG OpenType fonts, which means it’ll only work in later versions of Photoshop and Illustrator.

2. Under Construction 3D Color Font

Under Construction font

Under Construction is another great 3D color font to use in your Photoshop/Illustrator designs. It features a geometric, polygonal design and looks as if it’s been built out of crisscrossing metal beams. This gives it a hip, industrial aesthetic.

3. Marquee Lights

Marquee font

If you want to add a little razzle-dazzle to your designs, check out Marquee Lights, a 3D Color SVG font that looks like it’s been taken straight out of a Hollywood dressing room. The 3D characters look as if they’re inlaid with warm LED lights. This font would look fantastic on retro movie theatre signage, movie posters, and artistic headers.

4. Qinzy Vintage Layered Font

Quinzy 3D layered font

Next up, we have Jamer. Unlike the fonts we’ve looked at so far, this isn’t an SVG font. It’s a layered TTF/OTF font inspired by the 70s era aesthetic, with a retro/vintage design.

Non-SVG fonts like this can’t contain all the multiple colors and gradients you need for a ‘true’ 3D effect in a single glyph, so you have to create the 3D effect yourself by layering up different text layers on top of each other.

The advantage of doing it this way is that you can still create 3D text outside of later versions of Photoshop. It works like any other font and will show up in any text editor.

It includes 3 different font styles: handwritten, texture, and extrude. You can use the extrude style for the bottom layer to create the 3D effect.

5. Ice Cube

Ice cube typeface

Ice Cube is another SVG font that looks like… well… ice cubes! This winter-themed font features big block letters encased in blocks of ice. It makes a huge impact and is sure to make your designs look really cool (get it, cool?).

Price: Personal and commercial use licenses are included in your Envato Elements subscription ($16.50 per month)

6. God’s Own Junkyard

God’s Own Junkyard is a glowing neon font. It’s inspired by the late British designer and neon sign collector Chris ‘The Neon Man’ Bracey. It’s perfect for designs where you’re trying to recreate that cool Glowwave aesthetic.

The download pack includes 92 glyphs (with uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and basic punctuation) as well as a Photoshop action that you can use to make the text glow.

7. Square Neon 3D Color SVG Font

If the last font didn’t have what you were looking for, maybe this one will. Square Neon is another glowing neon font with a sleek, minimalist design. The 3D effect is a little more realistic than God’s own Junkyard (probably because it’s an SVG font) and the characters look like they’re built from real neon bars twisted into shape.

8. Jamer Retro Game Font

Jamer is a 3D gaming retro gaming font with an interesting pixelated design. The letters look as if they’ve been built out of 3D blocks on Minecraft. It would work well on gaming-related designs, posters, and short titles.

9. Authentic Layered Fonts

Authentic 3D font

Authentic is another 3D layered font. The designer has used a handwritten, cursive style to create a fantastic vintage typeface that would look great in all kinds of artistic projects. The font pack includes 10 different typefaces as well as some alternates and a few bonus graphics that you can use to spruce up your designs.

10. Polya

Polya low-poly 3D font

Polya is one of the best free 3D fonts we’ve come across. It’s a low-poly font, which means it uses the lowest number of polygons to create the 3D effect. It looks super eye-catching and has a unique tech-y aesthetic. And the best part? It’s completely free.

11. Pixelo

Pixelo

Pixelo is another 3D SVG color font with a futuristic design. It’s a great choice when you’re trying to create a groovy, psychedelic, pixelated design.

12. Futuristico

Futuristico 3D SVG font

Next up, we have another cool 3D SVG font, Futuristico. As the name suggests, it uses a futuristic design. Its huge, thick, blocky letters look like they’ve been crafted out of computer chips. It looks great on both dark and light backgrounds and works well as a display font in titles, posters, and logos.

13. Calasans

Calasans

Calasans is a retro layered typeface. The font pack includes 7 different layer styles that you can use to create a really convincing 3D effect. It’s suitable for vintage posters, postcards, logos, and all your other retro designs.

14. Chromium Pipes

Chromium pipes is a metallic 3D SVG font. The design is based on – yep, you guessed it – chrome pipes. If you bought a bunch of metal pipes, bent them into shape, and used them to spell out words, it’d probably look a lot like this. It might work well in branding and marketing materials for a plumbing firm.

15. Liquido

Liquido

Liquido is a font that’s positively oozing with character. The 3D characters look like they’re melting, with liquid droplets dripping off them. In red, it looks almost as if the font is bleeding, so it could work really well in horror-related designs, like horror movie posters and titles.

16. Block Tilt

Block Tilt, by Aenigma Fonts, is a simple, no-thrills 3D font with slanted characters that seem to be raised off the surface. It’s a versatile font that could work well in many different displays. It’s a little basic, but considering it’s free, it’s not a bad option!

17. Strong Girls Layered Serif Font

Strong girls font

Strong Girls is a layered font that includes 4 different font styles: regular, outline, extrude and long extrude. The long extrude style gives the font a lot more depth than most other 3D layered fonts and lends it a superhero-esque design. It’d work great on posters, stickers, headlines, and other vintage/retro designs.

18. Steel Construction

If you’re going for that industrial look, check out Steel Construction. This 3D SVG font looks as if it’s been built out of huge slabs of steel construction materials.

19. Wooden Planks

Next up, we have the Wooden Planks 3D SVG font. The characters of this font have been designed to look as if they’re made from wooden planks haphazardly nailed together. It has an old western look about it and could work well in rustic designs.

20. Metalic Planks

If you’re not a fan of wood, try the Metalic Planks SVG font instead. This font is very similar to the one above; the only difference being the texture.

The texture on this one gives the characters a metallic look like they’re made from rusted metal plates rather than wooden planks.

21. Bubble 3D font

Bubble 3D font

Here’s a really cool bubble font by designer Vladimir Nikolic. Unlike the fonts we’ve looked at so far, this is neither a layered for nor an SVG font. The 3D effect is encapsulated in the individual character glyphs, so it’s really easy to use.

The rounded characters give it a fun, cartoonish, playful look. It could work well in headlines, comic books, cartoons, posters, and merchandise.

22. Futuristic Transformer

Futuristic 3D font

Moving onto Futuristic Transformer, a complex mechanical 3D SVG font with a design inspired by the Transformers. You can tell a lot of work has gone into this font. The design is very elaborate, with tons of detail in every individual character.

23. Decade 3D Font

Decade is a 3D outline font that’s available in TTF format. The messy, jumbled-up letters give it a whimsical, comical feel. The design isn’t perfect and the characters are a little rough around the edges, but considering it’s free for personal use, it’s not bad!

24. Worker’s Tools

Worker’s Tools is an SVG 3D font with an urban design. The designer has taken inspiration from everything you might find in a toolbox. Spanners, screwdrivers, nuts, and bolts have all been neatly arranged to form letters and numbers.

25. Tabby

Tabby

Tabby is a playful 3D display font inspired by our feline friends. This cat-themed font pack includes 3 different styles: regular, display, and shadow. The 3D effect is easy to use and the cat print design is super cute. It’d look great on children’s book covers, pet store branding, t-shirts, social media posts, and more.

26. Vhiena Layered Type 2.0

Vhiena is a vintage, layered typeface. The designer took inspiration from old labels and classic bottles of whiskey to create something with that same old-school elegance and sophistication.

The pack comes with 8 different font styles, including the basic font plus 7 effects that create the 3D effect and add texture.

27. Under Construction 3D Color SVG Font

28. Tiger

Tiger 3D font

29. Squares

Square is an SVG 3D typeface that looks like it’s been chiseled out of 3D cubes. Each character is rendered in 6 planes, so you can see the whole glyph from multiple angles to give a very realistic 3D effect. The font has sharp edges and neat, clean lines.

30. USA Flag Font

USA font

Feeling patriotic? Check out this awesome USA flag font that’s decked out in stars and stripes. It’s another 3D font in SVG file format, so it’ll only work in recent versions of Photoshop and Illustrator.

31. Bach

Here’s another cool free font to try out. Back is a curvy, rounded font that’s wide in the middle. It looks like a bubble font with a 3D shadow effect and interesting texturing. A word of warning though: this is a heavy loading font so it can crash the Windows font viewer.

33. Grass Bold 3D Color Font

34. Blastrick

Blastrick

Blastrick is a layered 3D font that is perfect for old-fashioned vintage designs. This bold, blocky font really stands out and would be perfect for headers signs, and posters.
